REPEAL OF THE BOIL WATER ADVISORY
Effective: December 21, 2024
The Edgefield County Water & Sewer Authority advises their customers located on Bergen Road, West Martintown Road at Bergen and Gregory Lake Rd, Gregory Lake Road, Allen Court, Foxhil Drive, Locust Drive, Maple Drive, Chestnut Drive, Hickory Hills Drive, Capers Drive, Gregory Landing Sub, Oak Creek Sub, Wando Woodlands Sub, Bergen Place Sub, Bergen West Sub, Villages @ Bergen, and Woodstone Sub, and surrounding area that they no longer need to boil their water prior to drinking or cooking.
Following an intense flushing of the distribution system, bacteriological samples were collected and analyzed by the Authority. The results of this sampling indicated that the system is safe to use for drinking and cooking.
